The past few months

Oh where, oh where to start. I had every intent in sending Christmas cards this year but after you hear what we have been doing the last few months I hope you will forgive me.

We moved down here to St. George for Bry's fourth year rotations. Even though we live here I don't feel like we have actually been here. We have been traveling so much. Bry is applying to residency programs. It is much like a job interview. He will graduate in May and so residency is the next step after school. We have been to Las Vegas, Nevada; Pocatello and Boise, Idaho; Salt Lake and Provo, Utah; and Wray and Greeley; Colorado. These are just the places E and I went with him. He has also applied to some others but we didn't go with him. He also did some of his forth year rotations out of St. George. He was in Provo, Utah and Grand Junction, Colorado. So we would meet him half way in Glenwood, UT.

These last couple of months we have a whole bunch of firsts.
First time to Las Vegas we actually went there a couple of times to send Bry on a plane to somewhere. One of the visits we went down to the strip. I have forgotten how big it is. I liked Circus Circus, m&m factory and the Coca cola factory (Her first encounter with the coca cola bear. We got our pictures taken with him and she didn't take her eyes off of him. He even tried to touch her and she wanted nothing more.) I was really disappointed in the pirate show. It is not fun and cute anymore. To be honest I thought it was quite slutty. The volcano was cool but E was getting tired by that point and so it was hard to watch. We also went to the flamingo and where ever they have the lions but she wasn't interested in the animals.
We spent E's first Halloween in Glenwood. We borrowed her lady bug costume from my sister-in-law. We had tons of fun. She wasn't walking yet so we carried her. Her favorite thing to do was take all the candy (that she couldn't eat) out of her bag. We mainly went to houses that Bry knew or was close.
Her first Thanksgiving we spent up near Salt Lake, Utah with my Aunt and Uncle and all my cousins. My parents met us up there. That was the time Bry was in Provo, so it worked out he didn't have to travel far. She really didn't care about the food her favorite thing was climbing up and down stairs and climbing in and out of boxes or containers. She loves to climb.
Her first Christmas, we spent in Glenwood with his parents. However we had to fit her first time with Santa in Pocotello, Idaho. After Bry had his interview we went to the mall and had her sit on Santa's lap. She did not like it at all. She wanted off his lap immediately. Back to Glenwood, the night before Christmas we had the traditional Christmas story read by Bry's grandma. Since E is the youngest she played Baby Jesus. After we had the cousin exchange for Christmas gifts. The next morning Bry set up the computer in the living room. So for her first Christmas my parents were able to watch. (We Love Skype) She got her gifts from Santa and she opened a few from us before she would be distracted and want to climb on all the gifts. I know she is a climber. At this point she is walking but she has to hold on to things. She had been doing this for a while. We kept trying to get her to walk by herself but the second we let go she would start crawling.
Her first new years she spent sleeping (go figure) but we spent it playing games with Bry's family.
Her first birthday we celebrated New Years day because on her birthday we spent it in a car on our way to Colorado. I made cupcakes so that she would get one all to herself. I can't tell if she really liked it because she got it more on her then in her mouth. Needless to say she had a bath after. It was fun. She had tons of help opening her birthday gifts about half of her cousins were there. They enjoyed seeing what she got. The help was good because I think she was done opening gifts since Christmas was just a few days before.

Now most of the traveling is done. Sometime between Christmas and now she has figured how to walk by herself. That's all she does now unless she wants to go another direction I am going then she will get on her hands and knees. She still doesn't have any teeth but she loves to feed herself. She loves to talk but only if you are talking or not giving her attention. She mostly babbles and says mama and sometimes I can get her to say hi and Dada. Her new tricks minus the walking are what her uncle and Grandpa Anderson taught her: honk her nose and give knuckles.
Now that we have stopped traveling she is sleeping through the night. It was hard before always being somewhere new. I have become a little bit of a homebody. I know it won't last long but for now I am happy with that. I do get out in the mornings for Zumba. They have a daycare for E. She loves it and I love Zumba so it works out.

Now that interviews are over we will rank the programs on preference and each program will make their preferences on those who interviewed with them, it goes into a computer and then the computer will match us. Well we hope to match we will think positively. I don't know what happens if we don't match. Anyways we don't find out until March and then we will move yet again either in May or June. Between now and then we hopefully will relax. But who knows.
