Jan. 28, 2010

Now that little E is in our lives I feel that I will have a lot more to talk about. I know for a fact that I will have tons more pictures that I would love to share with everyone. She is now over three weeks old and I feel I am starting to get the hang of this mothering thing. I am starting to tell the differences between cries. I have had trouble telling the difference between her hungry cry and her gas cry. I think mostly because during the day I have always had to wake her up to eat, so I haven't heard that cry often. She is such a good baby which I am blessed because with hormones I am not sure I would have been able to handle a really fussy baby. She is staying awake more and has the best facial expressions that I keep trying to capture on camera. Her nights are off and on but for the most part she is sleeping a lot of the night. She loves to sleep with her hands by or above her head and so we can't swaddle her with hands down. She was born with tons of hair. She has it on her ears, arms, legs and a lot on her head. She also has really long and beautiful eye lashes.

Bry absolutely loves coming home to hold her. He has started to stay at the hospital to do his reading because he comes home and procrastinates just wanting to be with us.

Bry has started a new rotation this week. He will be shadowing his Nephrologist.

As for me I am staying at home. It has been so cold here and with the flu going around we have not wanted to take her out to many events. We did take her out with us to lunch to see how she would do. She did great. She doesn't really like her car seat but I think that is because she hasn't been in it a lot.
