My Sister-in-law took some pictures of E when they came to visit. The above are some edited pictures she took.E in her Blessing dress.
This month has been a busy month. We Blessed E at the beginning of the month and some of Bry's family came and stayed with us for the weekend. It was a tight fit in our small apt. but we managed. It was tons of fun to have them here. The boys played video games while the girls shopped and of course Grandma made sure E was held at all times. I also threw my first baby shower, with some help and I think it turned out pretty good for my first time. I use E's name so much that I think I am going to abbreviate it to E. We will see if it sticks. E. is growing so much. She is now 11 weeks. She focuses on us, smiles tons and now is making talking noises. It is so much fun to get her to smile. She is also developing a personality which is fun most of the time. We also call her our little drama queen because when she wants something she has quite the pout.
I am so excited that the weather is starting to get a little better. We got some snow yesterday but it is already melting and it is suppose to snow one more time this week and then get up to the 60's. It is so much more fun to go out when it is warm and I want to take more walks.

E was so good at church. Of course it helped that she slept most of the time. I am not sure if her outfit matched but I wanted her to wear her camouflage dress. But I had this sweater, booties, and bonnet that my moms cousin made. It is a pattern from my great grandmother. Who got these patterns from various people and books and has made them for much of my family. What I love about this outfit is not many kids wear bonnets. She just looks so old fashion, not to mention so cute with the bonnet on. I think her favorite part of the outfit was the ties, because she kept trying to suck on them.
Tomorrow she will be 8 weeks old. She is starting to stay awake more in the day and her neck muscles are getting stronger when she is on her belly. I still can't get her to push up on her hands. I don't know at what age they start developing that. When she does get on her belly, the first thing she does is stick her hand in her mouth. The other day I put her on her belly and she screamed the whole time. I couldn't understand why because she is getting better on her belly and doesn't scream as much. When I picked her up I realized why! Her hand was stuck in her shirt. She couldn't get it to her mouth. The funny thing is she has another hand but she only goes for the one.
Today the home nurse came and weighed her. She is 9lbs 10 oz. She says that she hasn't gained as much as she should, but because she is happy and peeing she is not worried. She is a very happy baby and so I really don't know what more to do. We do have an appointment with the Dr. next week and so I am sure if it is a big problem he will give advice.

E has gone to her first play. Some of the young women in my church were in the play "Grease." I was going to go with a friend in the young women presidency but she was unable to go so I ask Bry if he would like to. We both love plays and so I knew he would agree, so we bought her ticket. Of course E would go with us. I am not ready to ask for a babysitter. She did really good. She slept most the time. She did get startled a couple of times because it would be quite and then a song would start or they would yell. I thought she would be interested in the lights but she really didn't care. As for the play. It was really good. They have some good talent and good voices at the school. The only thing I was disappointed in was one of the songs that was different, it wasn't in the movie. It was called "moon" and apparently one of the boys was good at mooning and so throughout the song they would grab each others rear ends. It was funny but maybe not appropriate for high school students to do. I guess I don't remember plays like that when we were in high school or maybe it is because I now have a daughter and I would not like her to play that role. They also had some fake cigarettes. I guess I found it funny that we live in Wyoming where we have commercials and billboards about drugs and they have these high school students pretending to smoke. Don't get me wrong I know that it is in the movie and I love the movie but they could have done with out the cigarettes. I don't think I would have noticed that detail gone.
I was sad that I forgot to take my camera to the play to take a picture of her but I guess there will be other opportunities. She will be going to church for the first time tomorrow and the following weekend she will be blessed. We are so excited. I am making her a blessing blanket. Hopefully it will be done by next Sunday. I am getting excited to be doing more with E. I know it is winter and so there is not much to do but I do want to show her off. I just hope we are not exposing her to early and she ends up getting sick. She is doing so well sleeping at night and she is such a happy baby I don't want to see her sick, but I guess no mother wants to see their child sick. So we will see how it goes. I guess she has to get exposed sometime.

The past couple days have been interesting. She is developing new little behaviors. One is, she likes to make little spit bubbles and play with her tongue. Another is she use to suck on her hand when she was hungry but now she just likes to suck on her hand. So know I am not sure how to tell if she is hungry. Last but not least, she has dad wrapped around her little fingers. She will cry around bed time wanting to be held to go to sleep. If I let her cry, dad comes to the rescue. She is learning early. She is now 6 weeks old. She is more attentive to what is around and loves looking at the lights. Still sleeps a lot but when she is awake she is fun to look at because you can make her smile more. She is also making more noise especially at night when she is sleeping. Cute but quite annoying when you are trying to sleep.
